On Independence Day, we often see this national pride displayed through traditional outfits like agbada, isiagu, danshiki, iro and buba, and the colourful ankara fabrics. In my fashion business, MichNat Fashion, I honour this identity by incorporating elements of our heritage into my designs. The beauty of Nigerian fashion lies in its versatility - it enables us to celebrate tradition while making it contemporary and accessible to a global audience.

When I founded MichNat Fashion, I had a vision, and through hard work and determination, I turned that vision into reality. This perseverance is the essence of the Nigerian way - never giving up, no matter how difficult the road may be.

This cultural explosion showcases Nigeria’s creativity and its ability to influence and inspire entertainment worldwide.

I pursued my passion for fashion to fulfill my life's purpose and meet the growing demand for Afro-inspired designs with a Western flair. I began designing at age 10 and transitioned from a 13-year career as a Chartered Accountant to follow my true calling.
