Our Objectives
  1. To provide education, counselling, capacity building, settlement and community services, including employment preparation, training and referrals, job search activities, settlement information for Nigerian immigrants and professionals in need, in Nova Scotia.


  1. To advocate for and support the development of programs, educational seminars, policies and change to remove barriers to equitable and inclusive participation, settlement, and engagement, and foster positive relations, for Nigerians in Nova Scotia and Canada.


  1. To raise, obtain, receive, and maintain a fund or funds to support the objects and activities of the Society and to support and make gifts, in cash or in kind, to organizations that are “qualified donees” as described in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).


  1. To acquire by way of grant, gift, purchase, bequest, devise, or otherwise, real, and personal property and to use and apply such property to the realization of the objects of the Society.


  1. To buy, own, hold, lease, mortgage, sell and convey such real and personal property as may be necessary or desirable in the carrying out of the objects of the Society.
